Keep on laughing at me
I know that a few of you have been stopping by and looking for updates since mid-winter. It's pathetic to even have this blog, if I only come in here to complain about never working on it. So..... to tide you over while I'm getting the new pictures ready --- a Charlotte update!
She is 18 1/2 months old now, and she's growing up so fast. She chatters constantly. Just this week, she's come out with "Fish", "Now" ("Meow"), "Bread," "Drink," "Apple," "Leaf" and about 10 other words I can't think of. Going to the grocery store with her is like taking a trip to a new universe. I'm trying to teach her "Please," but that's not working, she's all about the food words right now. Just like her parents, ha ha.
She is getting into play-dough, fingerpaints (Love the "Color Wonder" variety, even though they go on a lot like Vaseline, and are prone to erasing themselves if you put too much on), and playing pretend with her dolls. She carts all three of her Cabbage Patch dolls around at once in her arms, like a very small and very competent mother of triplets. In perhaps a further sign of patheticness, I bought new outfits for my original 1983 dolls (one obtained by my intrepid Nana in a genuine Cabbage Patch riot) and they are shiny and new-looking. Tammy is missing some of her toes, so her cute green sandals aren't the best fit, but I think I can re-sew them.
Well -- that's about it -- child is causing major destruction in here! I'll try to get the new pics up this week. I have about a month's worth.....
