Public Service Announcement

Don't ever buy anything from TechBuyersDirect.com. It seems that they are the latest in a string of less than honest online stores. After you buy something (assuming you actually get your order) you are charged 5$ a month to 'subscribe' to thier site. Uhg. Long story, nothing major, but they are a crap company and now I know someone in the Florida Office of the Attorney General.

Job searching blows huge rocks.
Anyone have tips?
I've been glued to Craig's list for days.

Anyone in SD know of any cool jobs suitable for an MFA?
yeah, right.

Congrats to your other half, Coop! I am so fried from the masters that I have major respect for doctorates.

Hey all. we must have had some pretty wild memorial day weekends to still be hung over. lol.

Chris finally got his Ph.D. Piled higher and deeper! The diploma is all framed, and the thesis is all back from the bindery, and gosh darn it, I am so proud. I have tons of pictures that I haven't yet gotten around to posting yet. People are clamoring for them. Narf. Sometimes I think I say I will do things, just so I can procrastinate.

Yet again, we forgot to take the $2.99 good luck frog and get rid of it at the party on Sunday. Chris bought this frog at least 2 years ago in SF, intended for our friends' annual Xmas Yankee Swap party. (or White Elephant, depending on where you're from) Every time we have an occasion to get rid of it, we forget the damn thing. I think it might be destiny and maybe I shouldn't even try to get rid of the good luck frog anymore. It is gold painted plastic with pink crystal eyes and it is holding a fake coin in its mouth. Any advice?

I have been thinking about the comments thingy. seems it is making us post more, which can't be a bad thing, but creating a whole different dynamic in the discussion...... again, probably not a bad thing. With our luck (and I am crossing all my fingers, knocking wood, etc so as not to jinx us) the comments web site will die, and then we will have all these holes in the conversation again. Just my $.02. (Jimmy, do you think xenius needs the good luck frog??)
