Hey Speck, what was the name of that Otomo Yoshihide album you had with like fifty 20 second noise pieces?

I want to buy it (unless you want to send me a copy cause the shit is hard to find). Do you still have it? Do you remember what I'm talking about?

The best love letter EVER, from the 11 year old neighbor of Jayerbee to her 11 year old son:

The comment thing is fun. Hee. Thanks again for all the birthday wishes. It was a washout as far as birthday frolic is concerned. I did finally find out what Charlotte's birthday gift to her mama was - a new tooth! No wonder she's been in such a mood, all week long. She wasn't too happy with us at the restaurant either. If anyone ever comes to visit, cough cough, I'll take you there. Amusing martini bar.

I honestly believe that kids make you feel younger. Not only are all your energies focused on the basics, (eat, poop, sleep, play) you don't have a moment to look at yourself in the mirror. It will be a nasty shock someday when she has gone to school, and I suddenly get a glimpse of the new old me. Dorian Gray. LOL.

Lest I make housewifeliness sound too sitcom perfect, I ought to write a "what I do all day" journal for you guys, with pictures, it would be quite funny. Maybe next week...

ps. This blogger thing is double posting like evil beans.... eeyah!

Thank you muchly for the birthday greetings :) This year has been short on them for sure. 29 is not so bad, my mom thought I was turning 30 for a while. Poof, instantly younger!

Can't write more now as adorable daughter is having a meltdown....

Google giveth and google taketh away. Did anyone else get an invitation for a free gmail beta account? I did, but couldn't sign up from work due to the idiotic security system, and now the link is gone since blogger got all dolled up.

I was psyched to be jeffron@gmail..., but now I'll have to settle for jeffronthx1138 or whatever when it goes live.

This is Enoch. Or so he says. I met him on the bus freaking out and arguing with a lady about how she was going to hell if she didn't believe in Him. I could find him in Hebrews 11:5. He was chemically imbalanced, though this reductionist explanation of his behavior in no way diminishes the possibility that He is indeed God, as he claimed.

I had to go through a lot of shit to get him to take out his dentures and do the face again. He held my hand and squeezed it so hard that his nails nearly pierced my skin while he was telling me that he gave his only begotten son, and I thought for sure I would get some dreadful human disease (Deity disease. Deitease. Dieties.) He told me that Joseph's sperm impregnated Mary and her second child had my name, (James).

Then I had to carry him and his stuff to the trolley and had to run like hell to catch the bus which was waiting for me. He was carrying about 50 pounds of Ensure.

Blogger looks very slick and simple now.

Jimmy, regarding the freestate, I think the libertarians are a bit too close to anarchists for my tastes. But hey, I am a pinko commie.

X, that is absolutely heart breaking.
Sometimes being American just makes me feel so...ashamed.

Mytila, nice to see you here!

Jimmy, Mac and I ran into Mr Shalom today in Balboa Park.

I've added a comments system using some code from 'Comment This'.

The comment function does not require any kind of authentication, so there's a lot of potential for, I dunno, stuff.

I like it so far though. Though I think it could be a little prettier.

Additionally I will be adding some code to the blog which will allow the use of user pictures. That will probably be done tonight, if it's practical.

The blog page has some serious (and hilarious) html problems which I'll remedy tonight.

Thanks, Awwa. I made an error in the css file. It's fixed now, and you can dogpile Mytila in elaborately chosen colors, italics and bold.

Awwa, you said:

The co-worker who was found unacceptable, was a long standing computer operator, one who is well know for their caution and attention to detail. To make a mistake with those credentials only spoke to their humanity, and that all humans make mistakes. Yes, it was a learning opportunity. But that learning may not occur under such severe chastisement. Embarrassment, humiliation, other problems flare, and thus a good worker is turned into a lesser, humiliated worker, for worrying over nothing, over the insult!

And I said: Ditto.

Jeffron, you said:

Training 18 year-olds to be killers, then sending them to a foreign country to be prison guards, that's unacceptable.

See? You can use the word just about any old way.

And I said: Mhhhm. Ditto.

Welcome aboard, Mytila! It's about time. You probably didn't realize it, but we could see you out there, mumbling to yourself beneathe the eaves.

P.S...has anyone else considered this? http://www.freestateproject.org/index.jsp

DOGPILE ON MYTILA!

Heh! Welcome Mytila! We've heard stories, seen pictures. It's good to welcome you for real!

X, wow, what can anyone say! That's just horrible! But then, so is the whole situation. I had been tempted, to go to Iraq at the beginning of the war, to be one of the "human chain", one of those civilians against the war. I probably couldn't have afforded to go, but it was the kind of wild, crazy idea, that I really appreciate, at least conceptually. That would have likely been my end. I don't remember seeing much reported on the outcome of those protestors, except that many left as soon as the Americans began attacking. I can only imagine that if any stayed, they would have been considered expendable by American forces. I understand what it means to fight a war, to limit exposure of your troops. But wrong to begin with, suicide high among the troops, torture and abuse by the occupation troops, continuing, escalating protest against the occupation, no realisitic end in sight, no just end in sight.... we have to get out of there! The good news is that it is finally biting Bush on the butt! Something he fully deserves!

Too early Sunday morning for me to think of much else to say. Welcome again Mytila!

Peace Yo!

(PS: Jimmy, I have some html on the page, specifically on the "Dogpile on Mytila" phrase, which looks fine in the blog editing window, even after posting. But when I load the blog page as a reader, it doesn't come-out right. "Font size" and "font color" doesn't seem to be working, though "bold" and "italics" may be okay. You might want to check on that.)
