I'm thinking that with that kind of enthusiasm for the coffee we have to offer, if we'd have given him a Saltine (tm) he'd have quit his job and entered the catering business.

Chief...on the Principles page at the PNAC site, did you notice that Steve Forbes was in the list of supporters?

Awhile back I asked a question of Botany dot org. Now, you may think my questions was crazy or just plain ignorant, and I must concede that...but at least the answer was interesting! They sent me notification a few days ago that my question had been posted and answered.
Question 9-4-03 Hello there, I have had this notion that the Avocado and the Mango are somehow related in a way more significant than the mere fact that they are both seeded fruit. Can you debunk or verify this?
Response: The mango and the avocado, in spite of having superficially similar fruit structure (leathery skin, fleshy interior, and a single large 'seed'), are not closely related. Technically, a mango is a fruit type known as a drupe, which has a very hard or stony tissue layer (the endocarp) surrounding the seed. This is the same type of fruit as a peach (though peaches and mangoes are not closely related, either). The peach pit is the stony endocarp. If you crack open the stony endocarp of a mango or peach, you will find a seed inside. On the other hand, an avocado is technically a berry. The structure in the center of the avocado is actually the seed itself ( a very large seed, indeed), and it is not surrounded by a stony endocarp. The mango (fruit of the species Mangifera indica) is a member of a plant family called the Anacardiaceae, which also includes cashews (Anacardium occidentale), and poison oak and poison ivy (species of Toxicodendron). Some people are so sensitive to the toxic oils produced in this family that they even get an irritating rash from eating mango flesh. The avocado (Persea americana) is a member of a different family, the Lauraceae, which also is the source of cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) and bay leaves (Laurus nobilis). All evidence, including analyses of DNA sequence data, indicate that these two plant families, Lauraceae and Anacardiaceae, are quite distinct and not closely related to each other. The Lauraceae is part of a lineage that includes magnolias, and appears to have diverged very early in the evolution of flowering plants. The Anacardiaceae is part of a more recent diversification and is more closely related to families such as the Rutaceae (citrus) and Sapindaceae (maples and and their relatives).

20 questions about 2 years ago.
This guy is a bit of a rambler, but he highlights the very scary stuff that the PNAC comes up with and some thoughts about 9/11.
The PNAC includes people like Dick Cheney (now vice-president), Donald Rumsfeld (defence secretary), Paul Wolfowitz (Rumsfeld's deputy), Jeb Bush (George Bush's younger brother) and Lewis Libby (Cheney's chief of staff).
Some of their goals: -US must "discourage advanced industrial nations from challenging our leadership or even aspiring to a larger regional or global role" -Spotlights China for "regime change", saying "it is time to increase the presence of American forces in SE Asia". -Consider developing biological weapons "that can target specific genotypes [and] may transform biological warfare from the realm of terror to a politically useful tool" -Pinpoints North Korea, Syria and Iran as dangerous regimes, and says their existence justifies the creation of a "worldwide command and control system"
